Day 41 – July 24

Had an early start, Steven Gimbel picked me up at 9 and we visited the Teotihuacan Pyramids. Bob was feeling a little under the weather, the Mexican food was not agreeing with him, so he stayed at the hotel. The Pyramids were amazing. They were built between the 1st and 7th century AD and their vast size is impressive. We visited the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. The layout is based on geometric and symbolic principles.

Thereafter Bob joined us and we had a delicious lunch at Steven and Vivian’s home. We are getting very spoilt with the tasty traditional foods.

After lunch, we drove to visit Alma Allen’s studio, an artist who is doing an exhibition at Carolyn’s gallery in September. We had the pre, pre, preview, beautiful sculptures made from bronze, marble, and onyx. The works are organic in form and have a sense of mystery to them.

We got back to the hotel around 21 00.

In the past weeks you have all seen Romy, William, Charlee, and Rafael so today I have added a photo of Elia.
