I was not feeling my best yesterday but recovered in time to join Renee on a 4-hour expedition to see the works of sculptor Alma Allen. Actually, Renee did the driving so the score was Renee 170 km and Bob 7000 or so😀
I have really enjoyed fulfilling the first half of my dream and am so thankful to Renee for sharing it with me.
Today was a nice day. We got up late, had breakfast in the room, and then we had massages. Renee took a walk to look at the beautiful shops and actually came home without having bought anything😎😎
We then walked the 1.6 km to the Jumex Museum and enjoyed learning about Mexican contemporary art. Jumex is a famous factory that makes juices that are sold worldwide- actually, NGM bought from them for export to Africa some years back. They have bought a lot of art over the years and created the Jumex art museum to show it, very nice indeed.
We then walked back to our hotel and had a great lunch. At 4 pm, our friends Martín and Miriam Kuchner who are great Weizmann supporters came to say hello, and at 5:30 we made our way to the airport for our flight back to Amsterdam and a wonderful end to this memorable trip. We now close the blog for around 18 months and part 2 (Peru to Antarctica or bust will appear.
I want to say a big thank you to our friends in the Philippines (Diane, Teen, Jigo, and Dennis) for the wonderful job they did in translating our comments, photos, and videos into the blog you have all hopefully been able to enjoy. We also want to thank Lynee and Jerome for having set this up via their new company called VIAA (google them) which can supply any of you with Virtual Assistance at any time. Since this venture into the blog world, they are also ready to help others make blogs like the one we made. We can highly recommend them, but you are the judges.
Thanks for following us and see you soon again for part 2 of the amazing journey.
Stay safe and love to all.
Renee and Bob
